La Toya, mother of Michael Jackson slam charge against Conrad Murray

La Toya, mother of Michael Jackson slam charge against Conrad Murray They were apparently angered by the proceeding and the charge of involuntary manslaughter against the former personal physician of their son Michael. Their longtime lawyer, Brian Oxman, said: "This charge is a slap on the wrist. There's great disappointment here. [Conrad Murray] should've been charged with a higher degree of responsibility. What he did was reckless. It was a disregard for human life."

La Toya Jackson in a bright pink jacket flanked her parents, a tight-lipped Katherine and father Joe, outside the Los Angeles court before the personal physician was arraigned.

La Toya has been vocal in the past about her belief Murray is responsible for the sudden shock death of her brother on June 25 last year. Michael died from a quantity of Propofol, an anaesthetic that was administered by Murray along with a cocktail of IV sedatives to help him sleep.

Television reports showed the family walked past waiting media without speaking. But afterward People magazine quoted Katherine as saying: "He's a monster."

Joe Jackson, in black with a pink tie, was the only family member to utter a comment beforehand, which was simply quoted as the word "justice".

The Insider claims La Toya said in the "wake" of Murray's surrender: "Michael was murdered and although he died at the hands of Dr Conrad Murray, I believe Dr Murray was a part of a much larger plan. There are other individuals involved and I will not rest, and I will continue to fight until all of the proper individuals are brought forth and justice is served."
