The lead singer of Weezer was hospitalised when the band’s tour bus skidded off an icy New York road.
Rivers Cuomo, 39, and the band’s assistant were taken to hospital suffering minor injuries after the bus ended up in a ditch on the New York State Thruway on Sunday.
Cuomo’s wife and two-year-old were also onboard the bus but were not hurt in the crash.
The band was on their way from Toronto to Boston where they had been scheduled to perform today (Monday).
Light snow had fallen in the region over the weekend.
Well when the providence intervenes nothing happens to you like in this case singer’s wife and the child escaped without any injury. Those at the wheels have to remember the basics of driving while driving on ice and tricky terrain. The bus fell into the gorge because of the racklessness of the driver. The singer had to be rushed to hospital with an assistant for treatment of minor injuries. He must thank his stars that he got away with minor brusies.
The ijuries suffered by the singer were not grave and hence he was in a position to continue with his show on Monday.
