The Hoff blames ear infection on hospital visit

The Hoff blames ear infection on hospital visitDavid Hasselhoff’s ears – and not alcohol poisoning, as has been reported – are to blame for his recent hospitalization, the actor has claimed.

The Hoff was taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Sunday because of problems brought on by an ear infection.

Hasselhoff has been treated by a family doctor for the infection and had been prescribed Antivert to clear it up, according to US reports.

But the Baywatch star also takes the drug Antabuse – designed to prevent alcoholics from drinking – and the two drugs did not mix well.

Hasselhoff reportedly began feeling sick and was struggling to keep his balance.

As he was unable to reach his regular doctor, paramedics were called to his Los Angeles home, who decided that he should be taken to hospital for treatment.

The America’s Got Talent star was released after one hour in hospital.
