The City star Whitney Port has revealed that she “never really wanted” fame and that it is something she could live without.

The former Hills star currently stars in spin-off show The City, which is about to start its second season.

Talking about being a celebrity, the 24-year-old said: “I never really wanted this [fame]. I never sought it. It wasn’t something I dreamt of as a little girl.”

She added: “I grew up in LA around this lifestyle, so I didn’t really care or fantasise about it.

“The perks are definitely fun, but it’s not something I couldn’t live without.”
