Country music starlet Taylor Swift got her own back on Kanye West and Joe Jonas in spectacular fashion live on US TV.

In her opening monologue as a guest host on Saturday Night Live, 19-year-old Swift took a swipe at ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas, who famously dumped her over the telephone.

And she couldn’t resist a dig at controversial rapper Kanye West - who famously hijacked her big VMA moment by storming her acceptance speech - by having security guards cover the stage.

She sang: “I like writing songs about douchebags who cheat on me, but I’m not gonna talk about that in my monologue. I like writing their names into songs so they’re ashamed to go in public, but I’m not gonna say that in my monologue.

“You might think I’d bring up Joe - that guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I’m not gonna mention him, in my monologue.

“You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye and how he ran up on the stage and ruined my VMA… But there’s nothing more to say cause everything’s ok - I’ve got security lining the stage.”
