Robbie Williams is picking up stakes and moving to Tinseltown, the UK Sun reports.
Williams, who is making a stellar comeback with a widely lauded live appearance on the X-Factor under his belt, is anxious to escape the British winter and preparing to put his country mansion up for sale at £1 million loss.
His actress girlfriend, Ayda Field, 30, is also reportedly homesick and anxious to be back in time for Christmas.
The 35-year-old paid nearly £8.5 million for 18th-century Compton Bassett House five years ago but has cut the price to make a quick sale, the Sun claims.
A source said: “Robbie is desperate to get things moving quickly rather than hang around just to get a bit more money. Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is more important to him. He’s already got a few people interested in the mansion.”
Williams said of his mansion: “I can’t really afford to keep it. Maintenance is a lot. I’ve done a few impulse buys and it leaves you no money.”
