Ricky Gervais has said he is already planning another movie despite disappointing takings for new movie The Invention Of Lying.

Ricky, 48, plays the lead role in the new movie where he tells the first lie in a world that is yet to discover lying.

The Extras star admitted that the new movie Fame beat him to the top of the box office on his new flick’s opening weekend.

He said on his blog: “We went into the UK box office chart at number 2, just a few quid behind FAME. (Not my stand-up DVD unfortunately.) I’d have gotten away with it, if it wasn’t for them meddlin’ kids.

“The same thing happened with Ghost Town. High School bl***y Musical. Number 4 in US. The big boys predictably took the lion’s share. So, not bad at all.

“The money people are happy which means I’ll get to do it at least one more time. I’ve started writing it already. It’s called ‘Let’s do the show right here in this inner-city school.’”
