Billy Ray Cyrus is right behind 16-year-old daughter Miley when it comes to a controversial pole dancing performance she gave at the Teen Choice Awards.
Miley remains focused on entertaining, her proud country music-singing dad said.
“You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing [and] songwriting,” he said.
Billy Ray encouraged her to block out negative comments: “I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art and not worry so much about opinion.”

Hi billy, I’m in the Army for 25 Yrs now.I lost my 15 year old son in a hunting accident 10 years ago and my Daughter keeps me going. Yes you have the right to entertain as you see fit but you should also keep in mind that you are a role model for alot of young girls. you may think pole dancing is something harmless but it can make a big impact on what is accepitble with young girls. its hard enoufgh for a mother of a little girl and son trying to teach them how to get attetion in the right way and also how to view women in a reslectful way. so just keep that in mind imagine if you were a role model for your doughter.
