Leona Lewis’s alleged attacker not fit for court

Leona Lewis's alleged attacker not fit for courtThe London man who is accused of attacking Leona Lewis as she signed copies of her book in Piccadilly, London, has been deemed unfit for court.

Peter Kowalczyk, 29, was immediately scheduled under the Mental Health Act upon being taken into custody for the October 14 incident, which shocked fans around the world. He has been charged with hitting Lewis, who was reported deeply shaken.

The City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard that Kowalczyk remains scheduled under the Mental Health Act. The case has been postponed for the same court on December 14.

Kowalczyk allegedly lived the life of a loner in Waterloo, south London. He was alleged to have aspired to be a contestant on The X Factor, which brought Lewis fame three years ago. He was not present and was not represented in the court.
