Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga are the latest stars to be confirmed for an appearance on The X Factor.

The two performers will sing live on the results show on December 6, just weeks after Susan Boyle and Mariah Carey appeared on the show but pre-recorded their tracks.

Jackson’s performance will be her only UK TV appearance this year and will follow the hit reality show by singing at Capital Radio’s Jingle Bell Ball on the same night.

Other singers lined up to sing on The X Factor in the next few weeks include Rihanna and Alicia Keys.

Whitney Houston and Michael Buble are among some of the performers who have already appeared.
