Footballer David Beckham has joked that he could be Wolverine from X-Men this Halloween with his new beard.

The 34-year-old star has left fans wondering why he has decided to grow the facial hair, but he said that it’s just because he is lazy.

He said: “Halloween’s coming up and I was thinking of Wolverine from X-Men. It’s not some play-off ritual. I’m just lazy and can’t be bothered to shave.

“And everybody keeps telling me to cut it and I’m stubborn.”

Becks is reportedly going to follow in his wife Victoria’s footsteps and and design his own range of underwear.

A pal said: “David is still playing around with a few ideas - but it will definitely be going ahead.”
