Actors Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart are suing Gawker.com for the alleged malicious posting of a video clip that became known as a sex tape.
The tape allegedly showed the married couple in compromising poses with beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche.
The website allegedly posted a cut version of the tape that included a web link to a full-frontal of Dane. The couple are seeking $1 million in damages.
Gawker publisher Nick Denton said on Twitter: “To quote the great Marty Singer - Eric Dane’s lawyer - if you don’t want a sex tape on the internet, ‘don’t make one!’”
