X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has admitted she is banning her family and friends from the show when she performs live.

The 26-year-old is set to perform on the results show of the hit UK talent show on the same night as Whitney Houston will.

However, she admitted the nerves get to her and she won’t even let her Girls Aloud bandmates come down and watch her sing.

She said: “Yeah, the girls are like itching to come down and support me when I perform or whatever. But I kind of don’t want them to because it’s more scary.

“If they’re just not there, I can kind of pretend I’m in my own little world. But if they’re there, they’re there and it’s like I’m performing again.”

She added: “If my family’s sat in the crowd, it depends which members of my family are in the crowd. Some of them make us feel like: ‘Yeah, I’m ready.’

“And some make me feel like: ‘Oh God no, Dad’s in the crowd!’ So, no, no family or friends.”
