Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have joined a campaign in support of gay marriage.

The pair took part in a photo shoot for campaign NOH8 to overturn proposition 8, which was passed last year and bans same sex marriage in California.

In the shoot, Simpson and Wentz had duct tape over their mouths, symbolising pro-gay voices not being heard. Simpson is also holding a wedding veil.

The NOH8 campaign is a photo project and “silent protest” created by celeb photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley.
