Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway is reportedly in talks to lend her voice to new animated movie Rio.

Hathaway, 26, who voiced characters in Hoodwinked!, is in talks to star in the next collaboration by Blue Sky Studios, Fox Animation and director Carlos Saldanha.

The movie will follow the adventures of a nerdy macaw who leaves his Minnesota cage for the city of Rio de Janeiro.

The new flick will be made by the people behind Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and it will be shot in 3D digital animation and is set for an April 8, 2011 release.

Neil Patrick Harris and Rodrigo Santoro are also in talks for a role. Harris most recently voiced a character in the hit movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
